Who We Are & What We Do

Founded by us, for us. As part of the PFLAG network—the nation’s first and largest organization dedicated to LGBTQ+ people, their families, and allies—we advance a simple promise: everyone deserves safety, dignity, and belonging.

Our Mission

To elevate, support, and affirm Black LGBTQ+ individuals and those who love them through peer
support, education, and advocacy.

Our Vision

A Metro Atlanta where Black LGBTQ+ people live openly and safely, are celebrated in their families and communities, and have equitable access to health, legal, and economic opportunity.

Values

Love & Belonging

We lead with love and welcome everyone who comes in good faith.

Confidentiality & Safety

What’s shared in support spaces stays there.

Black Joy & Pride

We honor our culture, history, and creativity.

Accountability

We practice anti-racism, anti-transphobia, and anti-homophobia in policy and in practice.

Intersectionality

We recognize the layered experiences of race, gender, sexuality, faith, disability, class, and immigration.

Collaboration

We partner with local groups, schools, faith communities, and providers to expand care.

Who we serve

We center Black LGBTQ+ adults (18+) and their families, friends, and allies.

What to expect at support groups

  • Community agreements and a confidentiality reminder.

  • Facilitated peer discussion and resource sharing.

  • Optional actions, events, and learning opportunities.

Youth referrals

While our groups are adult-only, we are committed to helping Black LGBTQ+ youth and their families find the right care. Reach out and we will introduce you to a chapter or organization that provides youth-specific support in Metro Atlanta.
